Meridin East – Reinventing Community Living
The Bangsa Johor Festival was held in Mah Sing’s 1,313-acre freehold Meridin East township, the Group’s largest township by acreage. Mah Sing has reinvented the concept of community living with Meridin East as the Group aims to ensure residents have a quality living experience. 40% of the township will encompass lush green spaces and the Group plans to plant several thousand native trees around the 9-acre Mulberry Lake to preserve and enhance the natural flora and fauna.

The township has also allocated 110 acres to develop various activities, such as the 2.5km recently completed cycling and jogging path to encourage exercise and healthy living. Meridin East’s 16,000 sq ft sales gallery and show village will also be converted into the township’s clubhouse in the future, housing a swimming pool, community hall, gym, yoga room, lounge and café, mini theatre and other features.

Mah Sing is very supportive of the Government’s initiative to develop more Chinese schools in Johor and Meridin East will be welcoming SJK (C) Sim Mow Yu within the township. The Group has allocated approximately 9.66 acres to build SJK (C) Sim Mow Yu and this new addition is set to increase the township appeal, especially for married couples and young families.

In addition, as part of the Group’s ‘Reinvent Affordability’ Campaign, which aims to reinvent what it means to be affordable by providing homes with superior product specifications at a price point many can actually afford, the Group launched Fern comprising freehold 2 storey link homes with built-ups starting from 1,622 sq ft (4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms), priced from RM405,450. Earlier in the year, Meridin East also launched Dandelion comprising freehold 2-storey link homes with built-ups from 2,333 sq ft (4+1 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms) priced from RM549,100.

Strategic Location in Iskandar Malaysia
Situated in Pasir Gudang, Iskandar Malaysia, Johor, Meridin East is strategically located close to the booming Pasir Gudang Industrial Hub and Tanjung Langsat Industrial Park as well as driving distance to the Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex.

Connectivity to key locations is essential to any township and Mah Sing is enhancing the infrastructure around Meridin East. The Group will be building a connecting road into the Tanjung Langsat – Cahaya Baru Toll Connecting Highway, which forms part of the Senai Desaru Expressway (SDE). In addition, work has already begun to widen Jalan Kong Kong into a 40 meter, four-lane thoroughfare. Both road infrastructure improvements are targeted to be completed by 2020.
